Founded in Long Island, New York in 1970 by Arthur Dhom, Pride Chemical Solutions, Inc. has grown into one of the largest independent chemical and solvent distributors in the country. Still family owned and operated much of Pride's success is attributed to its ability to deliver superior products and services to its customers.

In 1989 Pride acquired Mellen Chemicals in Avenel, New Jersey followed by the Harcros Chemicals business and facility on Long Island in 1992. Having multiple locations in the northeast has enabled us to continue to grow and to provide unmatched customer service.

Pride's acquisition of TR Metro in 2002 provided it significant growth in the Ethyl Alcohol business. At the time, TR Metro was the largest distributor of Ethyl Alcohol in the Northeast. Pride's bonded Distilled Spirits Plant (DSP No. NJ 385) now boasts 200,000 gallons of bulk storage and 15,000 square feet of warehouse space for drum storage of ethyl alcohol.

Pride has evolved and grown throughout its history. Originally built around the sale of metal cleaners, lacquer thinners, and coatings solvents, Pride now also supplies the Food, Flavor, Fragrance, Personal Care, and Pharmaceutical industries with a diverse range of products.

Pride Chemical Solutions, Inc. is an authorized distributor for the world's largest and most prestigious chemical and solvent producers. Included on that list are Dow, Exxon, BASF, Sasol, ADM, Penreco, P & G, and Stepan, to name just a few.

Our state of the art facilities, full analytical laboratory, extensive inventory, and modern trucking fleet enable us to provide unrivaled service to customers in all industries from Maine to Virginia and as far west as Ohio.

As a recipient of the prestigious Responsible Distribution Process Excellence Award in 2007 from the National Association of Chemical Distributors (NACD) Pride continues to be recognized as a leader in product stewardship and safety.
